Roll up those sleeves, write those scripts, and get ready for the 2010 Natural High Video PSA Contest!! Back by popular demand, this contest asks teens to share their natural high and why they choose it over drugs and alcohol, for a shot at winning $100-$300!!!
Hosted by Naturalhigh.org and run through YouTube, the contest is a chance for students to share with other teens what they love to do instead of drugs and alcohol.
The 2010 Natural High Video PSA Contestruns January 1st - May 1st 2010,leaving teens four fullmonths to plan and shoot a 1-5 minute film. To qualify, students are asked to film their natural high and answer the 3 questions found on http://www.naturalhigh.org/psa.html. Soundzabound is also offering participating teachers FREE access to their royalty free music library for use in student’s PSA contest videos only. Natural High, Producers and Distributors of the highly acclaimed Natural High® DVD Series, will sponsor and judge the contest. Their latest film, Natural High 4, released in September 2009, has been seen by over 2 million students. According to a recent survey, 77% of students said the film encouraged them to find a natural high and reject drugs and alcohol.
The Natural High® DVDs and PSA Contest are designed to support the social norms approach of promoting healthy choices. According to the National Social Norms Institute at the Similar to the stars in the Natural High® DVDs, teens entering the PSA contest are encouraged to take on the social norms approach and make it known that not everyone needs drugs and alcohol to get high. Those with an alternative form of happiness, aka a natural high, are asked to share it not only for a chance to win, but to help other teens see the truth.
