The company recently delivered a system designed for teaching purposes to Full Sail University located just outside  Orlando, FL. Faculty from Full Sail University contacted  Mobile Studios with an idea for training their  students in multi-cam live production.   Mobile Studios delivered a solution that allows three  students to work with professional-level video switchers,  honing the directorial skills learned in class  and recording a “live” broadcast with multiple camera feeds.  The system gives students the most effective  hands-on training possible and lets them record DVDs for review.  To avoid devoting an entire classroom or lab  to stationary equipment, Mobile Studios integrated the entire training studio into its innovative PortaCast Live Production System, allowing this realistic  learning experience to be completely mobile. The “studio on wheels” can be shared across the entire campus, so  faculty can easily move the system to any classroom and ready for production within minutes for a truly roll-in...plug-in...turn-on operation.

The entire system consists of three PortaCast live production systems (left) and a PortaCast mobile video server.  The interactive training tool sends multiple video feeds from  Grass Valley Turbo HD servers to each of the three Grass Valley Indigo switchers.  Students training to be Directors can switch inputs to create their own program which is then sent to a DVD burner for review and grading.
